Is Noillirk official?

Playdose is an independent project with no connection to the Krillion team. The relationship between the names is a design reference: Noillirk mirrors Krillion, and the scoring question is reversed. We publish the rules plainly so players know which rules belong to Playdose.

Every daily Noillirk board uses the same prompts for everyone. That makes a score meaningful: everyone answers the same frozen list, so your score measures your read of the crowd. Come back tomorrow and the whole board is new.

What is Noillirk?

Noillirk is a ten-question word game about shared instinct. Each prompt is open enough for several answers, but the scoring list has a clear order. The answer at the top is the one that appeared most often in the reference responses. The next few answers are still common, while the long tail represents answers that are valid but less likely to be someone’s first thought.

The name tells you how to remember the rule: Noillirk is Krillion reversed. If Krillion sends rare answers down into the deep, Noillirk sends common answers upward.

The answer list is frozen when a prompt is published, so everyone on the same daily board is judged against the same prior. The five tiers and their cut-offs are listed in full on How to play Noillirk.

The daily board resets at 00:00 UTC. No account, no sign-in; the same answer scores the same for anyone on today’s board. Unlimited practice is kept separate from your daily score, so experimenting does not change the board.

Krillion vs Noillirk: the mirror rules

Both games are free to play in a browser, use one answer per prompt, and freeze the scoring reference when a board is published. The table shows where the instinct changes.

A practical example makes the contrast clear. If a prompt asks you to name a fruit, “apple” may be a strong Noillirk answer because it is an early crowd response. The same answer can be a poor Krillion choice if the goal is to find a true fruit that fewer players think of. Neither game says one answer is universally better; each game asks a different question about the same moment.

How to play Noillirk

Read the prompt, type the first ordinary answer that comes to mind, submit before the 15-second clock runs out, and repeat for ten prompts. How to play Noillirk walks through a full round, the five tiers and the one mistake that costs the most points.

Noillirk Unlimited

Noillirk Unlimited is continuous practice for players who want more prompts after the daily board. It keeps the same 15-second rhythm and common-answer scoring, but has no ten-prompt checkpoint and stays separate from your daily score. Use it to test whether your choices are becoming more direct, or to introduce someone to the game without waiting for UTC midnight.

Noillirk FAQ

The official name is Noillirk, with two l’s in the middle. Noilirk and Nollirk are common misspellings of the same game.

How do you play Noillirk?

Read a prompt, type the first answer you think most people would say, and submit it before the 15-second timer ends. Repeat for all ten prompts, then review your score.

Is Noillirk the opposite of Krillion?

Yes. Krillion rewards a correct answer that few people think of. Noillirk rewards the answer the crowd is most likely to give. Both games use a fixed answer prior for the published prompt.

Is there a Noillirk unlimited mode?

Yes. Noillirk Unlimited is continuous practice: answer one 15-second prompt after another for as long as you want. It is unranked and does not touch your daily score.
